How is this different from Google Scholar or ResearchGate?
Those tools help you find specific papers you’re already looking for. XR Institute helps you discover what’s important that you didn’t know to look for — across publications, datasets, and news, filtered by research area, summarized by AI.
What is the AI actually doing?
Our AI reads and summarizes new publications and datasets as they’re published. It identifies the core finding, methodology, and relevance to each research area. Human editors review what gets featured. It’s AI-assisted, not AI-only.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Cancel anytime from your account settings. You keep access until the end of your billing period. No penalties, no dark patterns.
What if I'm a student?
Academia membership covers individuals affiliated with a university — students included. If your budget is tight, join the student access waitlist. We’re working on it.
Can I upgrade or switch tiers?
Yes. You can upgrade anytime and we’ll prorate your payment. Downgrading takes effect at your next renewal date.
Can I expense this?
Yes. We issue proper invoices with your organization’s details. Most researchers expense Individual and Academia tiers as a professional development or research tool cost.
